I’m entering this into an art exhibition in Japan. The theme is based on life.

This piece entitled The Mother-Daughter Tie presents a mother and daughter observing a Kumquat Tree near Higashi Betsuin Shrine, Nagoya during spring 1978. Reds used between the mother and daughter convey a powerful relationship of happiness and prosperity. The Kumquat Tree reflects the nature of the mother/daughter relationship and their physical and emotional growth. Tied branches symbolise strong emotional bonds between the two subjects while dually representing the challenges that stand in life’s path.
